That father is Jay Reed, a familiar face to many of our customers and longtime members of the Michael’s Keys family.

For 14 years, Jay Reed has worked a booth at the Fort Worth Stock Show, cutting keys and selling safes while building lasting relationships with customers. Along the way, his daughter Kristen became part of the tradition and eventually launched her own booth, the Flippy Flop Stop, where she sells flip flops and handcrafted items, reflecting the perseverance, independence, and strong work ethic Jay has always embodied.
Jay Reed’s Legacy at Michael’s Keys
Jay worked at Michael’s Keys from 2011 until his retirement last year. During his time with us, he served as a skilled locksmith and became the lead safe salesman at our Colleyville shop.
His product knowledge, professionalism, and steady approach earned the trust of thousands of customers across Colleyville, Fort Worth, and the greater DFW area.
A Tradition That Continues
Even in retirement, Jay remains part of the Michael’s Keys family. Each year, he returns to help at the Fort Worth Stock Show. The event has become more than a seasonal job. It is a shared tradition.
